My beauty rests not in these bones,
nor the flesh that drapes them or even the color of my eyes.
My beauty is not found in my sense of humor
or the way my hair moves when I walk.
My beauty is not the kind you will find in the binds of a magazine.
No.
Because my beauty is not my own.
Many would like us to believe that our beauty flourishes in our youth,
but I have found there is much more beauty in Truth
and therefore beg to disagree.
My beauty does not reside in my smile
or my sense of style.
My beauty is found in the fire that burns away all transgressions.
My beauty is found in the repeated and often painful chipping away of the ugly coal that conceals the diamond within.
My beauty.
Must repeatedly endure trial and error in order to reach its ultimate diadem,
the glory it is meant to enjoy.
For my beauty,
rests in the love of a Saviour whose earthen vessel lay crushed in the mire of man’s disdain.
My beauty is found in the ferocity of a love that incited a quake and a shake in the temple of idolatrous hearts.
My beauty is found in the love that sought to tear a veil in two,
Declaring a promise renewed.
My beauty.
Has very little to do with me.
~ I stole this poem from Emily, but I couldn’t help it after I read it so many times.

“I cared about you too much,” said Dumbledore simply. “I cared more for your happiness than your knowing the truth, more for your peace of mind than my plan, more for your life than the lives that might be lost if the plan failed. In other words, I acted exactly as Voldemort expects we fools who love to act.”
O the life lessons! Thanks Harry

Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. 24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds Hebrews 10:22-24
